Far Infrared Sauna
The Far Infrared Sauna was custom made in Ontario for The Well of Alternative Medicine using several ceramic heaters and Bass wood.
How does it work?
The Far Infrared heater produces radiant energy like the heat from the sun without the harmful UV rays. This heat naturally penetrates your body efficiently. It triggers your sweat glands before your core body temperature goes up which means that you sweat profusely without feeling hot.
Why is the Far Infrared Sauna better than a traditional sauna?
In a Far Infrared Sauna, only 20 percent of the energy is used to heat the air, leaving the rest of the energy to heat the body. The radiant heat can penetrate deep below the skin producing a gentle warming inside the body. This allows you to sweat faster and tolerate a longer period in the sauna.
